We are abnormal.

When everyone thinks normal, we think different.
When everyone said, digital media means internet and mobile, we thought TV.
When everyone said, TV is mass media, we thought niche and targeted.
When everyone said, TV is for big brands, we thought why big boys have all the fun?
When everyone said, TV is expensive, we thought TV can be cheap.
When everyone said, great TV ads are expensive to make, we thought otherwise.

We are a unique mix of media & technology – we bring the latest in technology to traditional broadcast media to create a new TV media advertising platform – targeted TV ad.

People often ask us if we are a technology firm, media firm or an advertising firm. We aren't any of them.

We are abnormal.

We are a tribe of abnormal people. We call ourselves Amagians. Amongst our tribe are people who are poets, writers, dog-lovers, musicians, photographers and aspiring artists. Most of us are from technology and media backgrounds.

We are fun-loving, joyous people who like to make things happen.

Check out our snaps from some of the recent outings and get togethers.

We are a set of abnormal people. We don’t think normal, we don’t act normal.

  • Our business is different – we are creating a new way of advertising in TV
  • Our business cards are different – we don’t carry designations on our business cards, we carry our job descriptions & our personalities.
  • Our workspace is different – we don’t work in cubicled offices ; we use jhoolas for our meeting places and fresh fruits for evening snacks.
  • Our work culture is different – we don’t have a hierarchy; we don’t have ceo’s and vice –presidents; freedom is our credo and we practice it at every level.
  • Our work is different – we build technology that is the best out there– from ad splicing systems & AV recognition systems to inventory optimization algorithms. We empower the smallest businesses that have only dreamt of TV advertising to build their brand on the best of the TV channels. We build TV creatives that our customers brag about.

Baskar is a dreamer, always in an ideal world, thinking in the most optimistic fashion ever ;(whoever said entrepreneurs are optimists, would certainly have seen Baskar up and close). Loves to explore technology solution to business problems. Claims to be a great programmer, although he has not written a single line of code for the last ten years!

He was the CTO at Impulsesoft, and continues to straddle between technology and business and acts as the bridge between the two.

Srini is a man with aggression; he believes in instant action + correction over endless deliberation. Comes up with out-of-the-blue ideas always ready to duel-to-death for them. Claims to be The marketing samurai (probably to show off his Japanese connection from his short stint in Japan) though he has never set foot in a b-school.

He was the heading sales at Impulsesoft, and handles the business end of things at Amagi.

Vidhya is a realist, practical and direct. Dives into execution in any circumstances and is the one holding the baton most times, much to her chagrin! She keeps the team brutally honest and an expert in tempering unwanted optimism.

Vidhya was heading R&D at Impulsesoft and continues to manage all things that need action inside the company - technology and everything else fathomable!

An optimist, aggressor and a realist, a heady cocktail of a founding team …

NSR as he is affectionately called is so affable and approachable that sometimes it is hard to believe that we have one of the celebrated entrepreneur in India as our investor and member of our board.

Being the co-founder of Infosys, he is every entrepreneur’s dream board member. His simple and yet profound advice has been a guiding force at amagi, as we wade through unchartered waters.
