Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST) shows impressive growth across APAC

Data and insights from Amagi’s homegrown data analytics platform – Amagi ANALYTICS, and the Amagi Consumer Survey data, which surveyed ~600 APAC households from August 2022 to January 2023, suggest incremental growth in FAST across the region.

A sneak peek into some of the most critical data from the report

The Consumer Survey we conducted from August 2022 to January 2023 across 600 households across APAC revealed the following:

  • 27% of Indian, 30% of New Zealand, and 26% of Australian consumers would give up TV subscriptions as a cost-cutting measure
  • 77% of New Zealand, 33% of Indian, and 67% of Australian consumers would switch from SVOD to FAST

Data from Amagi ANALYTICS shows:

  • Ad impressions grew by 300%
  • Channel deliveries increased by 70%
  • Total Hours of Viewing (HOV) went up by 275%
  • Daily unique users increased by 247%
